No Dwarf Army would be complete without some artillery. After searching on the Google Machine, I found some models that I thought fit my fancy from Black Tree Design. They make a full range of guns and their models are not too much over the top. I decided to pick up two old Throwers and two Organ Guns. I already had a couple of some bombard style cannons in my collection, that I had bought some years ago on sale. I have no recollection which manufacturer made them, but it was time for them to come out of my miniatures box! I do not see myself using more than four guns at a time, so I figured I would just live the figures loose, so I could switch them out.

I painted these myself to try to match the models that were done by Fernando, suing Vallejo colors. I do not remember the specific colors, but stuck with the Grey uniform look, with red details. I opted to do all the leather various shades of brown and kept with the white hair for my army. The guns were painted using red contrast paint and lightened up with red. I painted the metal with black contrast and highlighted up with silver metal colors. Some details were done with brown and brass to give a brass effect.

I ordered a few sixty millimeter bases from GW to use as bases. There are for 40k (the bolter shells were a give away), but I like the rock effect. So, I took out my Xacto and clears of shell casing from two bases. I left them on the other two, as I thought it fit the organ gun. I added some pumice to match my other figures and painted them up the same way as my infantry bases. I left most of the rock exposes of coarse! A few dry brushes and the colors were set. Next I applied flowers like my infantry. In this case, I added all the different colors that I used on my infantry, with some static grass. I spray sealed up the bases and then glued on the crew (drilling out holes to mount their feet pegs through). I had to be careful with the spacing to make sure the guns fit of course.

With the, I now have my artillery support for my dwarves using the Black Tree figures. The crew is a little more squat than Conquer figures, but I think they work on separate units. Now, I need to finish more infantry!
