Scotia Grendal has a rather large selection of terrain pieces in there collection. I ordered a few pieces from them recently to add to my collection and work on during lock down. One of the pieces is their Nubian Temple.
The miniature is made of very hard dark grey resin. All pieces are single mold models with details on the back/bottom. The detail on the model is very detailed and provides great relief for painting. The kit comes multiple sections. The temple entrance is two pieces, The pyramid comes in five pieces (four sides and a top piece (which I managed to misplace)). So seven pieces in total. The fit unfortunately is quite poor. The sides of the pyramid do not fit well and have bad gaps. You will need to fill the sides after glueing. This is disappointing, as the resin makes this difficult to ensure it will stay together.
The model is an easy paint project. I hit mine with Krylon camo tan, followed by a brown wash and two dry brushes. Once the model was painted, I hit it with dull coat and now have another piece for my desert pulp terrain board.
Overall, pricing is not bad and the detail of the kit is fantastic. Not fitting well is a real downer, but you can fix that with some work (I would suggest filling it with spray foam to give it some structure). Being older, it is of the old school hard resin, which is rather brittle and heavy. As such, some care needs to be taken in handling. In the end, it does provide a nice looking piece.
