I was able to order a few more bags of miniatures from Gajo Games. These, along with a few painted SYW Austrians that I had laying around, gave me the bases of more infantry for my Reichs Armee force. I also had some unidentifiable figures that would make good Anhalt dragoons.

Once I had all the figures in hand, I decided which regiments to work on by adding some color to the figures. The easy figures were the Kurtrier, which I just had to paint the turn backs red. Then we had Salzburg Regiment. This required painting both the turn backs and small cloths red. Not too hard either, so that went quickly.

Next we had the two KurKoln Regiments (each of one battalion). These units wore Austrian cut uniforms, but with blue coats. For these, I decided to use the new GW contrast dark blue and just repainted the coats carefully. I then went back and added the needed red details. There were a couple minor tweaks to drummers and stadard bearers in all the units, to wrap up their painting.

The cavalry was painted base black, then blocked white. I then painted the needed colors for each area. Painting these guys reminded me why I prefer to buy partially painted figures!

Between Warflag and Kronstaff, I was able to copy flag images and print them out myself. There were cut, dipped in water and then hit with white glue. Once they stiffened a bit, I shaped them. Then came the customary flocking with GeoHex Green and a spray of Testors Dullcoat. I am now on my way, just need to finish Franconia and the Pfalz Cavalry!
