One of my favorite periods for gaming is the Seven Years War. There is just something about lines of miniatures in tricornes. I have been going through my SYW miniatures to try to figure out my forces and update a few figures here and there. One of the issues with my current collection is that may of my units do not quite have the right regimental distinctions. So, I decided to update a couple of units. Basically, I just went back and painted the regimental details on the units to make them more accurate. The first unit is the Hoch und Deutchmeister Regiment and the other was the Los Rios Regiment. I then had a few stands of Hungarian Grenadiers that needed to be changed, as I had too many in the same colors.

All these figures are actually originally painted by Gajo Minis. I just touched up some white on the coats to start with. For the Hoch und Deutschmeister regiment, I painted the vests and pants dark blue to match the color and cuffs. This is their early period uniform. It also helps them stand out against the rest of the army with their different pants. The Los Rios was easy, I just went over some dark blue cuffs and facings with a lighter blue and that was it. The grenadiers just had their pants cuffs and turn back repainted to match other regiments. I also replaced my older flags on the figures with Vaubanner standards. With that, a little more color for the army!
