So, I am still busy updating my Epic 40k model and accessories to play 40k Apocalypse when we are all free again. Next on the hit parade is a little work on terrain. Specifically, on buildings. Back when Titan Legions and Epic Space Marine box sets came out, both came with city buildings as terrain. I have sets of both from back then. Looking them over, I thought they could be refreshed for city terrain.
The two sets are different, in that the original set buildings were not as tall or large as the second set. Both were the same in that they were card board buildings with plastic roofs to hold them together.
Looking at these, I decided that simply painting the roofs with simple gray shading would do the trick. So, I took out all the roofs, sprayed them grey, hit them with a black wash and then dry brushed them with light grey. I then hit them with a satin spay paint to seal them. Then I just sat down and assembled all the buildings.
On the board, they cover a large area. However, they pack up well in a box and are not too space hungry. Add a few details and now I can field a city board for Apocalypse! Now, what should I use as a ground cloth……
