Today marks Easter Sunday here in the U.S. Unfortunately, I do not really have any Easter related minis to show off on my work bench. This is as close as I could come is a set of Vulture miniatures that I painted up for Pulp gaming. These particular models are from Dee Zee miniatures. I needed a few more to fill out my current flock and these seemed to fit the bill. Dee Zee has a very nice animal miniature line and I thought I would give these a try. They are not expensive and an easy project.
The pack comes with five models, each in two parts (body and head). There is only one pose, but the separate head piece allows for some slight variation. Flash is quite light, so not much effort was required to clean up the models. I glued the two pieces together and shifted the heads around a bit to give some variation.
I attached the models to some bases (the pack does not include bases) that matched my other models. I went with a simple black base coat and highlighted up and painted the head and claws red and yellow respectively. Finished the basing and sprayed everything with Dull Coat. All done! Easy peasy Lemon squeezy! Now the Easter Buzzard can come to town!
Happy Easter!
