I was in Florida recently visiting friends. One of the stops was Sarasota Florida. While hanging out and enjoying the local food offerings, I did a little sight seeing. One of the places I visited was “The Ringling”. This is a museum complex that was once the home of John Ringling (of Ringling Bros. Barnem & Baily Circus). On the grounds is the Ringling Art Museum, this building holds the old art collection of the late John Ringling and his wife Mable. I did not have time to see all the different complexes, but did see the art museum in its entirety. For those of you that like art and or history, it is a nice visit (does not hurt the art museum portion is free).
I took a lot of pictures (see below) while going through the halls. The collection is quite impressive! If you find yourself in Sarasota and are looking for something to do besides going to the beach, give it a try!
