I had a few minutes and some half completed miniatures laying around that I decided to finish (my usual situation….). The first was four mules from the Northstar Congo line of miniatures. I found these on sale at a flea market at Fall in last year. Only paid $1.00 each, so not much of an investment!, These are lead miniatures. I just spray painted them brown, painted the reigns and straps lighter brown and the baggage tan. After that, I used different shades brown washes the figures to give slightly different shades.
I then based the figures on 40mm wood oval bases (from Litko) and used Vallejo tan basing (wash then drybrush) with some scenic effects flock/grass mix. All done. They are staight froward to paint, if you do not want to take much time. As with many metal figures, there is not assembly, just a little flash clean-up. I they should work well for either my Pulp or F&I games.
