With the infantry out of the way, it was time to work on the cavalry. The cavalry has proven to be more of a challenge. The Hussars for the KGL and regulars were available from Gajo in the Napoleonic line and would work fine. That was also true of the guard cavalry. Unfortunately, all the other units are in the Peninsular uniform and would not fit the bill. I had to do some searching, but found the right models for the light dragoons. I found some on eBay (not a great paint job) that fit the bill. I was able to get a few units. I am still out of luck on the heavy dragoon units, so may have to fill these the old fashion way in the future…. The Artillery was all Gajo.

I needed to make a few adjustments to the cavalry to clean up the shakos and facings. Other than that, I did not do anything else with a brush.

I attached all the models to bases and flocked them all with Woodland Scenics flock, which was attached with Geohex Green paint. This time, I dull coated all the models with Tamiya dull coat before affixing the flags. I then went back a few days later and attached the flags with white glue. I normally this it a lot with water, but I used more glue this time to compensate for not having the dull coat to harden them.

That takes care of the British for now, with the exception of two units of heavy dragoons. Now, I just have to decide when and how I will fill in the remaining holes in the various Waterloo allied armies…
