
Next on my pile of planes to work on was a pair of Ki-43s. These are more Axis and Allies planes. The paint job on these was quite nice, so they did not need much attention. However, that does not stop me!

I hit the top with a wet brush of green and then brighten the red meat balls and white striping. I touched up a little bit of the white. I figured the bottom was good enough, so I left it untouched. I added black on the nose cone, engine and guns. A little black lining of the control surfaces followed. I painted the cockpit with contrast blue and then redid the caging with the same green as the rest of the plane.

I finished up with a Krylon mat spray and then gloss coat over the glass cockpit sections. That takes care of the Japanese (for now)!
