When I was going through the dealer room at Fall in, I came across one of the vendors that sells 3d printed PLA terrain and some more in bins from Monster Terrain. Part of their display, I came across a few tubs of various scatter terrain that was marked down for clearance. I grabbed a number of pieces to add as scatter terrain on my space port board.
I am currently in the process of doing a lot of basing again and needed a break, so I pulled out the terrain items that I bought, along with a mdf computer bank I picked up from Crooked Dice Studios. I sprayed the pieces various shades of Krylon grey.
I came back to the pieces a few days later and hit them all with a back wash and set them aside again. I then followed with a few lighter drybrush shades on each model. Next I painted some lights and screens on different pieces in blue, green, red and white. I hit all the pieces with some Krylon mat to give a satin effect.
Later on, I went back and hit all the screens and button with some gloss coat to make it stand out. having said that, the last work is not showing up in the photos, but it is there! Anyway… A couple of hours, here and there, I got a break and some more terrain.
