I have been working on my various roads for different terrain board needs. I recently updated my Battlefield Terrain Concepts roads to cover snow and 25mm gaming. I already had a whole bunch of old Architectural heritage roads for 15mm mass army gaming. One of the reasons I opted to go with some snow roads for my 15mm FOW, was I found a new set of roads that I could use for those types of tables. The roads are made by Barrage Miniatures.
Barrage miniatures makes different types of terrain and some miniature items. I liked what I saw online, so I ordered the dirt roads. The order was fulfilled quickly. For some reason, it got stuck in Chicago for months, before finally arriving…. The box looked like an elephant sat on it! It was crushed flat and had splitting seems. I was a bit nervous, but everything was still in what was the box and all in good shape. Part of that was the nature of the items and the rest was just good packing.
The roads themselves are made of tan latex. They are done with nice detail and have a dark brown wash that shows this off well. I opted to hit mine with a light tan light drybrush, but this was just gravy. The overall color is very nice.
The roads come in different sizes and shapes. I ordered all of them. Long and medium straights, small curves and various types of crossroads. The roads and made in different withs to cover different gaming needs. I went with the inch and a quarter ones, as I think this is best for Flames of War.
I think these are some of the nicer flexible roads on the market and defiantly worth a look if your looking for such terrain.
