I recently did some Italian demolishers. I was happy with the look of the figures that I got from Gajo, so I decided to add a few more units to my force. Specifically, I needed some gun units. Looking at the site, I saw the ATG and Artillery options. They had the same paint colors and style as the demolishers that I already had, so I figured these would be a safe add. So, I ordered a few batteries!
The figures arrived five days later and I got to work. First, I went through he figures and organized how I would base them. I then spray painted the bases with some Krylon tan.
The next day, I glued down the figures to their bases. I left off a few figures that did not have mounting bases to glue down later. This was mostly one of the ATG gun crew, that needed to be attached to the gun later.
I covered the bases with Vallejo tan pumice and let that set. The mix is a bit thick and needs a bit of time to dry, so I left them over night.
Later, I drybrushed all the pumice with some Vallejo light sand, I then attached Gamers Grass winter tufts to add a little color. I finished up by painting the base edges with Vallejo dark sand to finish up the painting.
As I was happy with the figures, I did not do any touching up on the paint job. I just glued down the different guns to their respective bases with white glue, adding the final crew numbers with the same. I finished up with some dull coat and now I have some nice ordinance support to fill out my desert forces!
