Last year I came across Micro Galaxy Starship Star Wars toys. This is a series of models representing various Star Wars vehicles and ships. When they first came out, I picked up a few Clone Wars era items to use as terrain on my Star Wars Legion game tables. Well, since then, they have added substantially more stuff to the collection.
These models are “true” 25mm figures (measured head to sole). They come with the vehicle/ship pre-painted to an acceptable terrain standard. Legion being heroic 32mm, means that these items are a bit underscore. However, as terrain, I think they fit the bill well. The models foot print is slightly reduced, not to overwhelm the game table.
I came across these again while shopping at Walmart for some beach stuff, during my last vacation. I am getting ready to start working on some imperial era armies for Legion, so I thought it would be good to get more ships. Checking online, I saw that Amazon was offering the same discounted price as Walmart, so I decided to wait until I got home and order everything I wanted. I got back and ordered some Tie fighters and another Jedi fighter.
Considering that these types of models do not tend to hang around very long and get very expensive on eBay later, sale price is the way to go. I also ordered an imperial shuttle, but that was mis-shipped, so I will have to wait a little longer for that piece. The real question is, do I need an imperial walker……
