It was time for our next Legion game and I decided to pull out my desert terrain. This would give me a chance to use my recently painted large rock and Cigar Box desert matt!
I pulled out my terrain and set up the table, while my buddies organized their armies. The Republic force had four units of Phase I troopers, a unit of ARC snipers, two AT-RTs, a clone commander and Captain Rex. The CIS took four units of B1s, two of B2s, two spider droids, droidikas and two T series droids.
The scenario was objectives, with three deployed on the center line of the table. The conditions were clear and the set up was battle line.
We rolled off for side red and blue and set up, with each side setting up somewhat equally across the front (we had two players on each side, so this was to be expected).
Both sides surged forward to grab objectives, with each side getting an equal number. As usual, the CIS put on heaving pressure, due to their numerical advantage.
As the game went on, the Republic was able to attrit the CIS forces. However, the armored walkers continued to be a problem for the Republic, but they managed to hold them off.
Late in the game, the CIS claimed the central hill to attempt to grab the final (and decisive) objective. It looked liked the CIS were going to pull it off…
Then Capitan Rex decided it was time to put down the clankers. He rushed forward with two unit of clones and took out the droids. Using his jump pack, he grabbed the objective and took out the last wound on the spider droid searing the victory!
