I saw a set of Renedra Chevaux de Frise on the self at my FLGS. I thought these would work well and be a good add to my F&I terrain. So, I picked them up. The set is packaged in a bag and very reasonably priced, which is true for all Renedra offerings. The models are plastic and come on the sprue. A little bit of time and you can remove all the parts from the sprue. Being plastic, there is a little bit of flash that needs to be scraped off with a hobby knife.
I cleaned up the parts and then glued them together, as each section comes in two parts. You basically insert one of the sections through the second. I was not happy with the gap between the parts, so I filled this by adding white blue to the gaps and let that dry. I then sprayed all the sections brown and drybrushed and highlighted them up with three shades of brown and tan. I then sealed up everything with dull coat. It’s a nice little set. It’s an easy paint at a good price. Now I have to decide if I need another…..
