I saw this pre-painted new dock set from Wiz Kids at my FLGS. I did not see an unpainted version of the set, so thought I would pick this up. The set is made of hard plastic and comes with a boat, some dock sections and some traps and ropes. These are cast in brown and have details pre-painted. They are defiantly acceptable for use as is.

However, me being me, I had to pimp them up. I started by spraying all the pieces with dull coat. I did this to make sure the paint would stick later. I then hit everything with a woodland scenics black wash.

Once the wash dried, I dryburshed up all the brown areas with various shades of brown and tan. Next I worked on the details. So, I started by painting the various ropes, using tan. This wrapped up the brown tones.

Next was the traps. The metal ones were drybrushed up the silver. I then added some silver to the wood traps.

I finished with the boat. This had brass detailing around the hull. So, I hit this with some GW brown wash. I then added a brass drybrush to these details. I finished up with som Krylon dull coat.

All painted up now and ready to play. This is a nice little set and would look good on any Pulp or Pirate gaming table. You can pimp them up like me or just play them out of the box. You should be happy, which ever way you go.
