One of the nice things about running the pulp version of 7TV, is that I get to pull out some of my fantasy terrain that has been sitting in boxes for a long time! This time around I pulled out my barbarian buildings that fit with orcs and goblins. Since I knew one of the players would show up with orcs, that seemed to be the rub!

I set up the table with some hills and an orc encampment in the middle, with some various scatter terrain to break up the table. I also added some jungle around the periphery to add some more color.

I ended up with four players. Two would command individual orc forces and the other two players would have human and chaos human forces. Each force had one star and was filled out with extras from their respective races. The force totals were twenty points each, with forty on each side.

The scenario had six objectives that would be rolled on the “raid” adventure table. Each would give one victory point, except any Maguffins, which were D3.

We rolled off for sides and the players deployed their forces on their table edges. The Orcs had the stage and started the turn. Both sides moved forward gingerly and plinked with some archer at range. In the end, it turned into a bashing game. The humans managed to find a Maguffin, giving them the advantage.

The Orcs tried to compensate by taking out stars, but were on the loosing side of that too. This was exacerbated by the appliance of a troll, which started chasing orcs around.

The game ended with the orc star running for his life from a troll and the other going down to the forces of evil. The game ended with an orc loss… They would have to find a new home.
