Old Dominion Military Society Presents . . .
I recently attended the Williamsburg Muster convention held in Williamsburg Virginia. This event is held every February by Old Dominion Military Society wargaming club. It had been a few years since I attended the event (thanks COVID), so I was glad to see it again.
It’s a small event that has a nice smattering of games had by club members. There is also a nice tourney scene (three were running while I was there). There were also a few area gaming vendors on site selling their wears.
I normally go to gaming conventions to see the games and get ideas for my own terrain projects. Of course, there is also the need to spend my hard won cash on new stuff. This event was no exception. I had the bonus of running into a number of gaming buddies I had not seen for a number of years. To me, seeing old friends is one of the great things about these types of events.
I spent the morning enjoying the event, with my wallet a little lighter! This gave me enough time to enjoy one of the local museums! It’s a nice local convention and I am glad they are still holding it. I look forward to going next year!
