While looking for some wagons to paint, I found some random pieces of terrain that I had started earlier and decided to finish them also. I set them on my table for to work on once I finished my wagons and got to them right away (right away, after having them in storage for a couple years).
The first was a fence section from Crooked Dice that I got out of a bargain bill. The next was an old GW Pavese, followed by one from RAFM. Next was a signal tower from I do not know where! Finally, I had an extra 60mm base I finished when doing one of my LotR armies.
The extra base was easy. I had some extra HO scale pigs I bought for FOW and just glued these to the base with some white glue. Some dull coat and the first project done.
Next was all the other scatter items. These had already been primed brown some time ago. So, I started with a black wash. I then hit them all with three levels of brown and tan drybrush. Next was some GW contrast black on all the metal sections. I hit all the ends with some tan paint to reflect fresh cut wood, with a small bit of white at the tips. Some had some rope, so I hit these with tan paint. I then did all the metal, with GW contrast black. I then hit them all with some silver. These were all rivets or nails, so a simple single color worked I thought. More dull coat and a little more scatter terrain into my collection!

The three dry brushed colours look very effective on the wooden item, nice work.
