So, took another big project painting break to work on some easy projects to get my motivation going again. The next on the hit train was some 28mm Rhino miniatures I picked up at the flea market at Fall in. I found the set of three for five dollars and could not pass them up at that price. I think they might be from Victorious Miniatures, but am not sure…

The three models are metal. They have nice detail and are a nice representation that is easy to paint. They have already been primed black with a white zenithal highlight. I pulled them from their metal bases an glued them to some oval shaped bases I had. I kept it simple as usual and just wet and then dry brushed up three shades of gray. I went back and added some black to the eyes (they are only slits).

I opted for my usual pulp basing of Vallejo tan pumice with a wash and drybrush. I then painted the edges of the bases dark brown to match my menagerie, finishing with some flock. I am thinking I need to add a tuft or two to my pulp bases to give more character, as these large bases seem to scream for it. Another project!

Some Army Painter dull coat spray to seal (which gives a satin finish) and I have a few more animals for my next Pulp game. Looks like it is time for another safari scenario!

Very nice they look too and a great bargain, as you say!
