My painting during the late summer months has been rather paltry. This is partially because I have been traveling and also that I have started, but not finished very many projects. Now that I am back home, I decided to try some easy projects to get back into the flow of things.
When I got back from my trip, I saw that GF9 had released a new version of their escarpments for their Mars range. I already had a hole bunch of their other Mars terrain, so I thought these would work well for that set and be very useful on my Star Wars Legion tables. So, I picked up a set.
Now, I just needed to pimp up these to match my existing set! I am not a huge fan of the color choices GF9 has made on these, as I feel the black is too prominent and I need more of a tan look. So, it was time for some dry brushing!
I hit all the surfaces with three levels of drybrush. The first layer of tan was quite heavy and each lighting color was drybrushed a little lighter. I then dull coated both pieces and they now match my existing terrain.
The set is made of plastic and has felt bottoms, so you do not have to worry about shipping and shifting on the table. A nice little set for any table. These are the same as the earlier tan and green versions, but this gives you a different base to work with. If you like the colors on their Mars range, these will match that line nicely too!
