Needed another filler paint project to fill in some time while something else was drying. Looking at my table, I saw that I had some bits from one of the Crisis game terrain sets, with some random toy. So, I grabbed them and got to work.
The four lights were sprayed in black earlier and the trash cans and engine were sprayed silver. I painted the stone areas on the bottom with some gray. I then hit everything with a black wash and moved onto something else.
Getting back to these a few hours later (waiting for another wash to dry), I went to the highlights. For the black, it was a medium dark dry brush and for the grey, it was a light grey drybrush. On the trashcans, I hit them with another spot wash of brown to dirty them up. I then painted the lights red, yellow and green and white for the lamps and signage. I hit the white lights with a yellow drybrush to give a shining light effect. The trashcans got a very light saver drybursh, so as to keep them looking grubby. The engine model got a heavy silver drybrush, with some bronze and black added to details to give some character.
I hit all the models with Krylon sealer. I then added a white dot reflection to the light and then overpainted these with gloss coat. I finished with some black scribbles with a sharpie on the signs. I had no idea what to white or what language, so just opted for the scribble, which will work with any location. A little side project to fill in some time and have some scatter terrain to show for it!
