With the holidays, my painting has slowed a bit, but I’m still plugging away. While waiting for some washes to dry, I decided to work on something different. So, I grabbed six Trigon models that I had for my Epic scale Tyranids.
These had been painted a long time ago and needed a little help! Mostly, they just had base block painting and I did not like the color choice on the underside.
I looked over the models and decided the tan and black would work, as well as the red details. I stated with overpainting the underside with some GW contrast purple. While that was setting, I hit the tan areas with a brown wash.
I then went back and hit the purple areas with two levels of highlight in a streaking pattern. I did a highlight of blue on the black scaling and hit the dark red areas with a red highlight.
I finished up with to levels of tan highlights on the bone areas. Once everything was set, I hit all the models with a satin pray paint seal. With that, these should look better on the tabletop with the rest of my army.
